BESMA (Nominations)
The British Excellence in Sales & Marketing Awards represent the UK's highest level for outstanding sales achievement.
The awards identify those organisations and individuals in which world class 'best practice' is demonstrated and nominations are now open to companies of all sizes and industry sectors.
They key objectives are to raise the profile and status of selling, recognise & reward achievement in all aspects of sales & marketing and to acknowledge the vital role sales personnel play in today's fast-moving business climate.
The criteria for each category reflect performance against the most significant responsibilities and skills required for each job role or the desired team outcome.
Categories for BESMA 2008 are:

The selection process occurs in several stages.
Written nominations are invited for each category. The ISMM prepare a short-list of six finalists who are invited to attend a judging day where their skills and experience are independently rated by the panel of judges.
The carefully selected judges are drawn from variety of organisations and industry sector and are all experienced sales/marketing professionals, managers and directors who share similar goals to the finalists.
The winners are announced at The Royal Lancaster Hotel on 12th February 2009 at a black-tie event where over 600 senior executives from the corporate world attend to celebrate the sales and marketing elite.
The recognition gained from picking up a BESMA is enormous, not only within your own company but also from your customers and competitors.
